Toronto Aromatherapy
www.arlenesoilyheroes.com "Aromatherapy" means many different things to different people. In my practice and in my frame of reference, aromatherapy is the use of pure plant essences that can be inhaled or used directly on the body to restore both physical health and emotional balance.
I use only the highest quality, therapeutic-grade essential oils in my practice for two reasons: to ensure your safety and to achieve the best results possible with these natural tools. I've worked with many patients who are chemically sensitive and who react strongly to scents, but have no problem with these particular essential oils because, unlike perfume, they contain no toxic additives, no pesticides and no chemical "enhancements."
I request no perfume or cologne be worn in my offices, but these essential oils are the farthest thing from perfume. "Aromatherapy" candles and scented room sprays? Pretend they don't even exist. Real aromatherapy is more than just a fragrance: it's a synergistic combination of the components in natural plant extracts that work medicinally on the human body and mind. Artificial chemicals might be able to duplicate the aroma, but they can't capture the therapeutic benefit of real aromatherapy oils.
Essential Oils in Psychotherapy
Researchers have found that scents have the ability to unlock the emotional centers of the brain, making it easier to uncover and help with trauma symptoms, phobias, anxiety, and abuse. When my clients are open to it, I use essential oils in combination with traditional psychotherapy, energy psychology, and emotional clearing techniques in order to provide the most effective and gentle resolution to pain, stress and trauma.
I have spoken at several professional conferences about the impact of combining essential oils with other forms of therapy, and have been published on the same subject in Vitality:
Young Living Essential Oils in Toronto
If you take a look at the essential oils sold in stores, therapists' offices and other markets, you'll find a huge range in terms of price - and quality. I’ve worked with essential oils for over 20 years and I've tested several brands. Only one stands out as delivering the consistent high quality and results that I count on in my practice, and that's Young Living Essential Oils.
Developed by D. Gary Young, these oils are superior to any others I've used and are the only essential oils I'll provide to clients for use in therapy, emotional clearing or raindrop technique. For more information about ordering essential oils, please see my Young Living aromatherapy and business building page or visit my Facebook page for practical tips and information on using Young Living Essential Oils.
Aromatherapy Workshops and Training
I use essential oils in my Toronto psychotherapy practice, as well as offering a variety of aromatherapy classes and workshops for everyone. My monthly essential oil workshops address a variety of topics, from cleaning to emotional healing to pain management.
